Education Is Cool…Get One!
We want your child to succeed in school and in life. We are here to partner with you to make sure that your child reaches his/her full potential.
We need your help to make this happen.
Know what your child is expected to know in school.
Communicate with your child’s teacher regularly.
Become involved at the school.
Reinforce school rules at home.
Your child’s future depends on your participation.
America’s best and brightest are right here in our community, in our neighborhoods. They are all about the books and obtaining knowledge because knowledge is power. They realize that education is cool.
Be cool:
Arrive at school on time. Attend each class.
Behave.
Complete classroom and homework assignments.
Read at least 30 minutes every day.
Take advantage of the opportunities America has to offer. Our nation, our communities, our neighborhoods, our schools and our children depend upon you…the family. Get involved.
Talk to your child about his/her day at school.
Have a well lit place for your child to study.
Establish bedtimes and curfews …even for those in high school.
Reinforce the importance of behaving in school at all times.
Talk to teachers during the first week of school.
Visit the school before there is a problem.
Stress the importance of doing well in school.
